People-Centered Health
People-Centered health care focuses on the individual patient as a whole person, rather than just their medical condition. It recognizes that each patient has their own unique needs, preferences, and values, and that these factors should be taken into account when making decisions about their care.
Healthcare systems can be a cold and impersonal experience. People-Centered health care is a shift in thinking about how we provide care. It is about putting the patient at the center of their care and recognizing that they are the expert on their own health.
People-Centered health care can lead to reduced costs in the long run by preventing complications, reducing hospital admissions, and improving patient satisfaction.
“My goal is to build a practice in which medical care is provided in partnership with patients. I wholeheartedly believe patients should have an equal voice in their care. This requires a collaborative approach and a mindset where patients are not seen as a diagnosis, but rather as empowered individuals in a partnership of equals.”
